Hair fashion: the trend cuts for 2020

What are the trendy haircuts for 2020, so as not to be unprepared and go to the hairdresser with clear ideas

2020 will be the year of short hair, at least so say the latest trends among experts in glam hairstyles. From the bowl cut to the helmet cut (even micro), short cuts will be the undisputed protagonists of the salons for the new year. There will also be room for waves for longer hair and bangs for those who always want to feel young. Here’s how to choose your haircut for next year.

Short haircuts will be the must-have of 2020
Get ready to give it a rest: you could summarize with this sentence the hair trend for next season. All the specialists agree that 2020 will be the year of short hair, for example, wild hair like the pixie cut – with short locks on the back and sides of the head and slightly longer on the top. Or classic with bob cuts and even helmets for more romantic looks.
Clean, geometric lines will be the basis of the 2020 trend cuts, giving a hairstyle that’s always tidy and easy to handle. To provide more movement to the look, the longest short helmet on the front and with a very marked central stripe is ideal.

The medium and long cuts
Among the average trend cuts for 2020, the must-have is the bob, the classic helmet that goes all the way to the shoulders with a well-defined central stripe and, why not, the fringe to emphasize even more the cut of the face. A variant of the classic medium bob could be the one slightly scaled at the back of the hair, to give a little more character to the hairstyle and streamline its shape. For longer cuts – for those who don’t want to resign themselves to the short – the trend is for waves, to give sinuosity to the hair and a touch of refinement to the look.

Fringe yes or no?
For 2020 the answer to this question is definitely yes: the fringe, as well as for the year that is about to end, remains the protagonist of hairstyle, even if less symmetrical and slightly shorter than in the past. For those who wear long hair, better a not too evident scaling.

Trendy colours for 2020
2020 will see an overwhelming return of the uniform nuances, with great peace of mind for those who love highlights. If you really can’t give up reflections, the trend is to make them as natural as possible, with balayage – the lightening that reminds us of the summer sun – which remains the best method to entrust the desire for colour even on the hair.
Among the colours, brown wins, especially in its dark version that tends to chocolate, blond will tend to honey, red to copper.
