Vince Pitstick wants there to be a health coach for every single individual. He deems it crucial and given his vast experience in the field, we cannot cast his argument aside.
He quotes the report of the United Nations named ‘Lifestyle Diseases: An Economic Burden on the Health Services and says, “it is publicly acclaimed by NATO, UN, and other international organizations that by 2030, 70% of the world population will have some sort of lifestyle-related disease,”. “We have real solutions to impede the impending health crises, and we intend to,” he further added.
And the solution is what he has always believed in – integrating health coaching into the health system.
To this end, he has also started a project called #The1in100. Vince is working on this project with the help of Metabolic Mentor University, a health and fitness training institute led by Vince himself. This ‘virtual university’ is dedicated to training health coaches, doctors, dietitians, and nurses to heal people and help them achieve their true potential. The university is an invite-only institute at the moment and is soon going to be public. Currently, 150 students are being trained at MMU.
Though Vince has many inspirations to initiate project #The1in100, the primary energy source behind the project is Florence Nightingale. He has enormous admiration for the lady who revolutionized the medical field with her defiance, compassion, and creativity in the face of war. There cannot be any two opinions about it that it is because of Florence Nightingale there is one nurse for every American.
Because of her efforts in the war of Crimea, the death ratio of soldiers fighting the war dropped by 2%. Her nursing techniques proved to be very effective, leading to the foundation of the first-ever nursing program in the world. Inspired by her methodology, three medical schools officially integrated nursing as a course in their curriculum.
Hence, nursing came into being. Vince is following in the footsteps of Florence Nightingale to revolutionize the health coaching industry. He has created a range of effusive projects to achieve his target and is proceeding in his mission in two ways – rendering health coaching services himself and training other health coaches to do so. To date, he has produced hundreds of doctors, nurses, and other health practitioners, and many others are in the wind.
Project #The1in100 is marching forward to its destination. Despite the fact that it’s still a long way to go, Vince is confident that considering the gravity of the situation, the realization that health coaching is a legitimate answer to many lifestyle problems will finally surmount all the ambiguities surrounding the industry.
